Manchester City want Erling Haaland to sign a new contract after the striker netted his latest hat-trick against Fulham on Saturday.
Haaland continues to be linked with a potential move to Real Madrid, with the Spanish giants apparently waiting in the wings before they activate his £172m release clause in 2024.
However, Manchester City are doing all they can to ensure that this doesn’t happen. The treble-winners are ‘to offer Haaland a massive new contract’ as they will ‘hand the ex-Borussia Dortmund man a basic £600,000 a week deal if he agrees to extend his stay beyond June 2027’.
This would amount to a 60.5% pay rise compared to his current £375,000 a week contract.
