Sergio Ramos Rejoins Sevilla

Spanish side Sevilla have reached a verbal agreement to re-sign 37-year-old Sergio Ramos on a short-term deal. Ramos will become Sevilla’s ninth signing of the summer.

Ramos is currently a free agent after leaving Paris Saint-Germain in July and has chosen to sign for Sevilla amid proposals from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad and clubs from the Turkish Super Lig.

The Spaniard came through the academy at Sevilla and made 49 appearances for the senior side before joining Real Madrid for €27 million in 2005 as the most expensive Spanish defender in history.

Sevilla are rock bottom of La Liga having failed to pick up a single point in their opening three fixtures. They are the only club in the top flight in Spain without a point to their name so far.
